A user friendly longboard for maximising wave count whilst dodging summer crowds.

Compared to more advanced old school longboards, the Egg Log is made with manageable dimensions for easy walking to the beach - and the nose.

Semi flat rocker, nose riding concave, and semi traditional but thinner rails allow smaller riders to stall, trim and position the board on the wave face before moving your feet up and down.

To be surfed with a large single fin, the Egg Log hints towards a traditional longboard, whilst keeping the features user friendly like our popular improver mid lengths.

  • Longboards (typically 8'0" and above) are best suited to smaller, slower waves where shorter boards struggle to generate speed. Their length and volume make them exceptionally easy to paddle and catch waves on, and they're the only style of board that allows you to walk up and down to the nose — opening up trimming, cross-stepping, and nose riding as skills to develop. They're popular both with complete beginners and experienced surfers who want a relaxed, stylish approach to wave-riding.

  • Yes — the Egg Log is designed to be accessible and user-friendly rather than an advanced traditional log. Its manageable dimensions make it easier to carry to the beach and control in the water than a heavy classic longboard, while its flat rocker, slight belly concave, and straighter outline give you the stability and feedback needed to start learning the fundamentals of longboard surfing: trimming, positioning, and eventually walking the board.

Traditional logs tend to be heavier, wider, and built for noseriding in specific, well-shaped waves. They reward experience and can be unforgiving in smaller or less perfect conditions. The Egg Log takes cues from the traditional shape — single fin, flat rocker, straighter outline — but is made lighter and with more user-friendly dimensions, making it better suited to the everyday small waves most UK surfers encounter. It's a longboard that hints at the classic without demanding the same commitment.

  • The Egg Log is designed to be surfed with a large single fin, which is the traditional longboard setup. A single fin produces a smooth, drawn-out, flowing style of surfing — ideal for trimming along the wave face and walking to the nose. It encourages a different approach to wave-riding than a multi-fin setup, rewarding patience and footwork over aggressive turning.

  • That's exactly what it's built for. The flat rocker and belly concave are specifically designed to help you stall and trim the board — slowing it down and locking it into the wave so you can confidently move your feet forward. The straighter outline keeps the board tracking in smaller waves rather than sliding out. Nose riding takes time and practice, but the Egg Log gives you the right platform to learn on.

  • The Egg Log thrives in small-to-medium, slower, rolling waves — ankle to shoulder-high is its sweet spot. It's ideal for the kind of gentle summer surf that makes shorter boards feel sluggish and unrewarding. Its manageable size also makes it practical for busier summer lineups where a full-sized heavy log would be difficult to handle around other surfers.
